CLIENT AGREEMENT

This Agreement outlines the terms between the Client (“you”) and The Clean Scene LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) regarding your scheduled cleaning services.

1. SERVICE SCOPE

You are booking residential and/or commercial cleaning services through Booking Koala. The exact scope of work is determined by your selected service type and any add-ons chosen during booking.

2. WHAT IS INCLUDED & NOT INCLUDED

Each service type includes the following:

Signature Clean

Best For: Busy households, families with kids or pets, or anyone looking for a consistent, high-quality clean that keeps their home looking its best.

Includes:

  • General: Dust accessible surfaces, wipe light switches and door handles, light dusting of ceiling fans.

  • Kitchen: Clean inside microwave, wipe backsplash and countertops, clean cabinet fronts, wipe exterior of appliances, sweep and mop floors.

  • Bathrooms: Clean and disinfect sink, shower walls, tub, and toilet; polish faucets and fixtures; wipe mirrors and cabinet fronts; mop floors.

  • Bedrooms: Dust and wipe all surfaces, clean mirrors, light fixture dusting, sweep or vacuum floors, mop if needed.

  • Living Areas: Dust and wipe entertainment centers and furniture, wipe doors and light switches, sweep or vacuum and mop floors.

  • Indoor Trash Removal: All indoor bins emptied, liners replaced, and bags taken to your designated location (e.g., garage or outdoor bin).

Not Included:

  • Inside fridge, oven, or cabinets

  • Interior windows

  • Carpet shampooing, steam cleaning, or upholstery cleaning

  • Wall washing

  • Laundry, dishes, or organizing closets/drawers

  • Move-in/move-out detail work (vents, deep grout scrubbing)

  • Moving furniture

Premium Deep Clean

Best For: Seasonal resets, first-time clients, or anyone who wants their home cleaned from top to bottom with extra detail and care.

Includes all Signature services, plus:

  • General: Dust ceiling fans and vents and wipe light fixtures.

  • Kitchen: Deep clean stovetop, clean behind/under small appliances, wipe outside of trash can, full cabinet door wipe-down, sweep and mop floors.

  • Bathrooms: Scrub showers, tubs, sinks, and toilets; disinfect all surfaces; polish fixtures; mop floors.

  • Bedrooms: Detailed dusting of furniture, doors and mirrors; sweep or vacuum floors, mop if needed.

  • Living Areas: Detailed dusting and wiping of all furniture and surfaces and doors; sweep or vacuum and mop floors.

  • Indoor Trash Removal: All indoor bins emptied, liners replaced, and bags taken to your designated location.

Not Included:

  • Inside fridge, oven, or cabinets

  • Interior windows

  • Carpet shampooing, steam cleaning, or upholstery cleaning

  • Wall washing

  • Laundry, dishes, or organizing closets/drawers

  • Moving furniture

Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning

Best For: Homes being prepared for new occupants, property listings, or renters who want to leave their place spotless and ready for inspection.

Includes all Premium Deep Clean services, plus:

  • Kitchen: Clean inside and outside of fridge, oven, microwave, and cabinets; disinfect countertops and sink; polish appliances; sweep and mop floors.

  • Bathrooms: Full deep clean and disinfection of all fixtures, showers, tubs, sinks, toilets, and inside of cabinets; mirrors and faucets polished.

  • Bedrooms & Living Areas: Detailed surface cleaning of all furniture, doors, and light switches; floors swept or vacuumed and mopped as appropriate.

  • Finishing Touches: Space is left fresh, sanitized, and move-in ready — ideal for final walkthroughs or property photos.

  • Indoor Trash Removal: All indoor bins emptied, liners replaced, and bags taken to your designated location.

Not Included:

  • Interior windows, blinds or baseboards (available as an add-ons)

  • Carpet shampooing, steam cleaning, or upholstery cleaning

  • Wall washing or paint removal

  • Laundry, dishes, or organizing closets/drawers

  • Moving furniture

Tidying & Personal Items: Light tidying is included in all services. Extensive pick-up of toys, clothing, or personal belongings is not included. If additional time is required to organize these items before cleaning can begin, an extra fee may apply. Preparing your home in advance allows our team to focus on delivering a thorough, high-quality clean.

3. FEES & PAYMENT

By booking a service through Booking Koala, you authorize The Clean Scene LLC to store your payment method and charge the total service amount after the cleaning is completed. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. The Clean Scene LLC is not responsible for technical issues, errors, or delays caused by Stripe or other payment processors. Clients remain responsible for payment for all services rendered.

  • One-Time Services: Clients provide a valid payment method at booking; the card will be charged after service completion.

  • Recurring Services (weekly, biweekly, or monthly): Clients are automatically charged after each completed service according to their selected plan.

If additional time, labor, or specialized cleaning is required beyond what was anticipated, The Clean Scene LLC may adjust pricing. Clients will be notified and must approve additional charges before work continues. If not approved, the contractor may complete only the areas covered under the original rate, or the remaining work may be rescheduled.

4. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

You must ensure cleaners have safe, timely access to your home during the scheduled time. If cleaners are locked out or denied entry after 15 minutes, the service will be considered rendered and 75% of the full service amount will be forfeited.

Clients are responsible for securing pets and storing valuables, cash, and sensitive items prior to service. The Clean Scene LLC is not liable for unsecured items.

5. REFUND & DAMAGE POLICY

Refunds: All services are considered final once completed. No monetary refunds will be issued. If dissatisfied, you must notify us within 24 hours; we will offer a complimentary re-clean of affected areas as the sole remedy.

Damages: You must report any damage in writing with photos within 24 hours of service. We reserve the right to inspect and determine responsibility.

  • If confirmed to be caused by our team, we may repair or replace the item, at our discretion, up to a maximum liability of $200 per incident.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, unstable fixtures, or items that cannot be safely cleaned.

  • We are not liable for damage caused by faulty installation or unsecured items prior to service.

6. SERVICE GUARANTEE & LIABILITY

We strive to deliver high-quality cleaning. If issues arise, notify us within 24 hours so we can make reasonable efforts to resolve them.

The Clean Scene LLC is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or deterioration.

  • Wear and tear from routine cleaning.

  • Reactions to cleaning products if no prior notice of sensitivities is given.

We may take before-and-after photos for internal documentation, training, and dispute resolution purposes; these will not be used for marketing without prior consent.

7. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS

All cleaners are independent contractors, not employees of The Clean Scene LLC. You agree not to solicit or hire them directly outside our platform.

8. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

  • Cancellations: If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged a $50 fee.

  • Reschedules: If you reschedule after 6 PM the day before your appointment, you will be charged a $50 fee.

  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows: you will forfeit 75% of the full service amount.

9. TERMINATION

The Clean Scene LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if unsafe, unsanitary, or hazardous conditions exist, or if harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior occurs. In such cases, the same-day cancellation/no-show policy applies: 75% of the scheduled service amount will be forfeited.

Services may also be terminated for repeated policy violations.

10. LEGAL

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Passaic County, NJ.

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions or agreements, whether written or oral.

Neither party shall be held liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, labor disputes, governmental actions, pandemics, or other emergencies.
